Julia’s Who Magazine Challenge: Case Study

I've been lucky enough over the years to be selected by Who Magazine to train Canberra-based women for their annual 12-week weight loss challenge.
A few years earlier I helped another beauty, Suzie, who lost over 15kg for the challenge! But now it was Julia's turn.
Julia was not familiar with weight loss protocols, and due to the challenge was pushed to lose as much as possible (there were no prizes, but it would be great to get on the cover, right!?).
I worked hard with Julia to keep her focussed on the longevity of this challenge. This means, losing weight at a pace that supported long term management, avoiding the all-or-nothing 12-week push that most challanges promote.
She agreed, and by making healthy changes, and not doing anything too crazy, the managed to lose 11kgs, with 12cm from her waist, and 11cm from her hips.



The biggest gains she noticed throughout was not craving junk food, feeling confident and like she could achieve anything, and not experiencing the 3pm slump in the afternoons each day.
It’s not always about the weight you lose, but more about the healthy life you gain 💜
